Big question: Do you believe in magic?

If you’re like me, I’m sure you do!

Well, I had one of the most magical experiences of my life recently when I created my first writing retreat in one of my favorite places on Earth — Bali!

But I have to share something a little vulnerable: This retreat was something like 15 years in the making. Yes, it took me that long to pull it together.

Why? Because I doubted myself. Because I thought I didn’t know how to do it. It was on the other side of the world, and I was afraid of getting everything wrong.

Have you ever felt like that? Put something off that you really wanted to do because you let doubts and fears get the best of you?

My lesson: When you get your internal “marching orders,” take them!

If I hadn’t listened to my inner promptings, I would have missed out on one of the most exciting, fulfilling and remarkable experiences of my life.

And it came from responding positively when my inner “Yes!” exploded to the surface. Voila, The Bali Triple Goddess Magic Writing Journey was created, and it could not have been more incredible.

The women who participated had life-changing experiences. They learned about tapping into and embodying the goddesses. They visited temples and palaces, bathed in holy springs. They went shopping and learned how to barter. They ate delicious, nutritious, fresh food.

And they channeled their excitement into their writing and by doing so came away with the first drafts of their books. My friends, that’s the painless way of getting the job done. Go someplace wonderful where you can unplug from regular life, get away from your usual distractions and focus on you and your creativity.

It all starts with bypassing the doubts of the mind and surrendering to your inner promptings. Honor your intuition and what your heart is telling you. It will open up enchanting doorways that you never even thought of.

Take a moment and inspire the community by sharing:

What magical thing could life present to you if you let go of fear and followed your heart?

Put love first!
