Have you seen “Wonder Woman” yet?
If not, by all means, go see this amazing movie!
I don’t go to many films myself, and certainly not action movies, but this one touched me deeply.
Why? Because I’ve never seen the Divine Feminine so boldly and authentically portrayed by Hollywood. And it inspired me even further to put to the forefront my work of helping women rekindle their passion and go after their dreams by connecting to their Goddess Nature.
My favorite line in the whole movie is “I believe in love!” Because that’s what my Indian spiritual master (a woman, by the way) told me to do when my heart was breaking and my world was falling apart.
Do YOU believe in love?
- Are you able to take a stand for it even when someone you love betrays you?
- Are you able to stand in the middle of it when everything around you falls to ruin?
- Can you watch your dreams rip apart at the seams and still hold the vision for new and better dreams?
- Are you able to see the best in people when they show you their worst?
Then you’re a Wonder Woman, too!
And if you’re not there yet, don’t worry — you have her in you. Because guess what? You’re not just a human being, you’re a goddess who birthed herself in a human body to experience the agony and the ecstasy of uncovering the truth of who you really are — a Goddess, Baby!
But before we get there, one of the places where the learning shows up most dramatically is in romantic relationships. So many women have shared with me recently about their painful relationship histories, their fears of dating, and their resistance to exposing themselves to the possibility of being hurt again that I’ve decided to hold a class called, “Why Do I Keep Attracting the Wrong Mate — and What to Do About It.”
I’m such an expert on the first part that my sister once labeled me a “nut magnet.” Part of that has to do with the fact that I’m compassionate and also with my ability to see the best in people even when they don’t deserve it. (A theme of the movie.)
The other part was, well, my blind spot — the part that needed to heal!
What’s this got to do with writing? In the class, we’re going to learn how to write better scripts for ourselves — and happier endings. The answer to the problem is actually so simple you’ll wonder why you didn’t see it before. In fact, it’s too bad they don’t teach this stuff in school, because it would save a lot of people a lot of time, energy and heartache.
So, if you’ve felt frustrated and demoralized by the same romantic situation coming around in a different form… If you’re fed up with finding yourself with the wrong person again and again… Come find out how to change that pattern. There really are good people out there who are looking for other good people.
And, by the way, if you don’t feel completely healed yet, not a problem. You don’t have to be perfect and you don’t have to find a perfect partner. You just need to find someone who’s pathology matches your own!
“Why Do I Keep Attracting the Wrong Mate?” takes place on Thursday, June 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Hope Thru Empowerment Wellness Training Center in Fresno, Calif.
